The Relationship Between the Exposure Time and Concentration of Fluid on the Osmotic Fragility of the Blood Cell

Abstract
An attempt was made to observe the effect of the exposure time to the percent hemolysis at the given concentrations of the sodium chloride solution. In the osmotic fragility test of clinical examination some different exposure times to read, are employed from 2 minutes to 18 hours.
The percentage of the occurrence of hemolysis in each concentration of hypotonic saline solution in the course of time from 20 minutes to 72 hours, was observed in red blood cell of the young adults.
As a result, the relationship between exposure time and concentration of solution on the osmotic fragility by the percentage of the occurrence of the hemolysis was expressed in a methematical formula,
P= (C-0.86)t0073X0.208/-0.04t0073-0.01 where P is the percentage of the occurrence of hemolysis, t is exposure time and C is the concentration(%) of the sodium chloride solution.
